What is NYP Infonet and Why You Keep Hearing About It?

You ever typed NYP Infonet in Google and got confused why it’s not loading on your phone? Happens a lot. So basically, NYP Infonet is the internal login system for NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital staff. Doctors, nurses, admin folks – they all use this thing to check schedules, internal emails, policies, paystubs, HR announcements, all that boring stuff.

If you work at NYP Hospital, you kinda can’t do your job properly without it. That’s why it’s kinda important. But it don’t always work like you think it should. Some days, it just shows a white screen. Or kicks you out mid-login.

How to Login to infonet.nyp.org – It Ain’t That Hard (Unless It Breaks)

You gotta go to https://infonet.nyp.org/ – that’s the site. But you can’t open it from just anywhere. Try it from home? Won’t work unless you’re using Citrix Gateway or VPN. It’s made for secure internal network access only.

So step-by-step, it’s like:

  1. Use hospital computer or install Citrix Workspace
  2. Login with your CWID and password
  3. If asked, put the RSA SecurID token
  4. Done. You inside.

If you don’t know your CWID, you gotta talk to your supervisor or HR. No one online’s gonna help with that. And if you’re new, they usually give that CWID during orientation.

Common Login Problems That Makes Staff Wanna Scream

Lot of users report stuff like:

  • “My NYP Infonet login keep saying invalid credentials”
  • “Can’t load NYP Outlook Email from home”
  • “Citrix just freezes and shows blank screen”

Usually, it’s just expired passwords. Or cookies messin’ it up. Some browsers like Safari hate the site. Chrome and Edge work better. You can clear cache, or reinstall Citrix Receiver and it’ll start behaving again.

Also—remember that passwords expire every 90 days. So if you haven’t logged in in a while, that’s prob why it’s mad at you.

What Can You Access Once You Login to NYP Infonet Portal

There’s a LOT inside once you in. Here’s some of the main stuff:

  • NYP Outlook Webmail
  • Timecard & Kronos for work hours
  • MyPath (LMS) for training modules
  • Internal policies
  • Staff announcements
  • HR Connect – benefits, insurance, forms
  • IT helpdesk stuff

Some staff also use it to check Epic EMR access, though that’s usually through separate NYPConnect systems.

Basically, if you a full-time employee, contractor, or resident, your daily tasks starts from this thing.

Is NYP Infonet Different From NYPConnect?

Yep. Two separate things. People get confused all the time. Here’s the diff:

  • NYP Infonet – for staff only, internal stuff only.
  • NYPConnect App – that one’s more patient-facing. Used by patients to talk to doctors, manage appointments, telehealth, etc.

NYP Epic Login also is not the same. Epic is for medical record access and usually needs special privileges.

Is There an NYP Infonet App? Or Nah?

There’s no separate NYP Infonet app you download from App Store. You have to use Citrix to get in from mobile or tablet. A lot of users say it’s kinda clunky on phones but works if you got patience. But if you’re trying to open Infonet directly without the VPN or Citrix? Good luck with that.

They’re also working on better integration with Okta login for security, so you might see that popup soon if you haven’t already.

Who Uses NYP Infonet and Where?

Over 48,000+ employees of NewYork-Presbyterian rely on it daily. Locations include:

  • Weill Cornell Medical Center
  • Columbia University Irving Medical Center
  • Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital
  • Allen Hospital
  • NYP Queens
  • NYP Brooklyn Methodist
  • And others across NYC and Westchester

Even admin staff who’s remote or hybrid needs this for HR and time-off requests. So basically, if you’re getting that NYP paycheck, you’re logging into Infonet at some point.
